Tales of the Celestial Kingdom by Sue Lynn Tan
adventurous
fast-paced
3.0
First I just want to say that this might have gotten a slightly higher rating if I had read this closer to the main duology specifically because there are stories in this that are set during the duology that I feel like I would've enjoyed more if I had just read the main trilogy.
That being said this was a really nice collection, I liked the set up and as always with Sue Lynn Tan books its just beautifully written, I also really liked the illustrations throughout the book.
I definitely enjoyed the prequel stories the most out of the bunch, unfortunately, as I said before, I couldn't enjoy the middle stories that much simply because I had no idea exactly where in the story we were - and while yes it was beautifully written it felt like it didn't add much outside of it being from another characters POV. I also really liked the epilogue it was really nice to read.
