This is my third Discworld book, and I think Pratchett has become a new favorite author of mine.

He does this thing that I love, in which there are so many different plot threads, characters, details that all seem disconnected. But come together at the end like a giant Chekhov's firing squad. I love when stories do that.

All the characters are great. Even the side characters are dripping with personality. My favorite was Captain Vimes because he reminds me of one of those noir detectives that are always standing under the rain monologuing, but he's stuck in a fantasy book.

Ankh-Morpork is my second favorite character. I know that's the city, but it has so much personality (more than the entire cast of other books) that it feels like another main character.
