Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

Taylor Jenkins Reid has this incredible way of writing a story that you feel you’re living while you’re reading it. It’s easy to nestle into her writing and never want it to end. This book was no different.

Typically I don’t like when stories flip through so many viewpoints, but it was seamless throughout this book. It played out the way you would watch a documentary about a band or an event - just as I’m sure she intended it to.

It has everything you would want about a rock band from the 70’s; sex, drugs and rock and roll. The relationship between Daisy and Billy was complicated, their relationship with drugs and alcohol was complicated. Add in the dynamic of 5 other band mates and their drama and it’s just a total complicated mess.

I personally couldn’t put it down.
