If you are looking for a book with a happy ending, then this one is not for you.
This is my first time reading slow burn in a long time, so it took me longer to finish it, but I enjoyed it none the less.
I also really liked the ending, because I think it fits the MC and it makes sense with her backstory.
Still I have to admit that I was not always fully invested in the story (mostly in the middle) because it is a slow burn book and some parts were just not that engaging.
Don't know if I will read something like this any time soon, but liked the book never the less.
