Journalist Marcus Tully finds himself in the middle of a conspiracy revolving around the election of a new global leader to solve the environmental crisis.
Set in 2050, this is a terrifying look at the future climate problems the world could face. I enjoyed the speculative nature of the book, the technology that could exist, and especially the sea islands that are climate controlled. I loved that it addressed the use of AI and the ethics and trust issues around having an AI leader.

It was a fast paced book and maybe because I was racing through it, I got a bit lost at the end. A political, speculative thriller, it's not the sort of book I'd normally pick up but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm hoping my husband chooses it for his holiday reading this year so I can chat to him about it!
