I read The Silmarillion once a year, every year, and I always find new information about Middle Earth. It's definitely a more complicated book to get through than The Hobbit or the LoTR trilogy, but I enjoy learning more about the elves in particular. It also tackles the very different natures people/elves can have when treated differently. Had Finwë been content to put his love and attention into the raising of Fëanor, the story may have turned out much differently. Instead, he remarried and had more children whom Fëanor grew to resent.
