A Hell heist! What a treat! I loved seeing Alex and Dawes get closer in this novel, loved them bringing in more people into their little circle of trust, and I loved seeing Alex come more into her own in this novel. If the past installment had her embracing her past as part of her, then this one had her growing into a leader, even as she struggles with processing all that has happened to her. I appreciate that this series shows trauma as an ongoing experience that doesn't really go away just because you accept that it happened--it's always a struggle to process the worst things that have happened to you.
