I just had to say that it was so cool to feel like H.G. Wells himself sat down and told you this story (/ reading it from a diary) even if the outcome to the Martian’s felt a bit boring it didn’t at all stray from the enjoyment of the book since the decision could also make sense! So happy I decided to finally pick this up and read it! I also love the thoughts of the Martian’s and how he’d compare it to how we were doing fellow humans and animal species on earth. Lastly, I did want to say a content warning that I put as animal abuse, it’s technically not but there’s talks of killing a dog for food and such if that could be hard to read like it was for me. 🖤
