Pestilence by Laura Thalassa

2.0

I don't judge smutty books for their plots. After all, I'm here for the peen, right?

Well, there was no peen until more than halfway through the book. Alas, even then, the peen was mediocre at best. Le sigh. A lot more description could have been put into the few scenes that existed in this book, and I definitely could have used a few more boning sessions. Maybe then, I wouldn't have focused so much on the plot and writing style.

It might have also been a lot less painful if Sara didn't talk/think like an immature teenage girl who thinks she's the hot shit. I get she's still young at 21 years old, but she just came off as teenager-y (yes, that's now a word.)

Pestilence was alright. He was a big brute with little words and kidnapper vibes. Was to be expected, and I'm not mad about it.

The book did gain its second star from me by actually being somewhat intriguing in the last 4th of the book or so (after, like, the 4th or 5th tine they were attacked and got away, somehow, from groups of people with many weapons.) I get that it's Pestilence and he's wreaking havoc on humankind and people are going to try to keep killing him. But some of those repetitive killing scenes could have been replaced with boning ones and made this much more enjoyable.

Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just a little salty because the reviews raved about this book, and all I wanted was some good peen scenes, which were sorely lacking. Maybe the next ones will be better.
