Strawberry Shortcake Murder by Joanne Fluke
2.0

Okay now. The rating is 2 stars (rounded down from 2.5 stars), but you know how sometimes even when you know something is trash but you can't look away? Or you find yourself going back to it? That's how I think I feel about this series.

I enjoyed this a little bit more than the first in its series, and that might simply be because things that felt tedious in the spoken form were easily skimmed over without much consequence (for me, anyway) in the text form.

Is it life changing? No. Is it a masterpiece? No. An easy read without much brain power required? Yes. Sometimes that's exactly what you want, and in this way, this book delivered. Because I'm currently at a busy time of my life with a lot of stress, easy reads like this are welcome. So, I am probably going to read a few more in the series in the short term.
