Loved the continued buildup the book played for the trilogy. The TENSION!!! It’s just so beautifully executed. Most of this book felt like the troubles of forbidden love and Nova and Adrian navigating between it.

Got the introduction of my new favorite character Callum. HE’S a badass and I always love how he’s written. And the power he has is brilliant and creative. Absolutely adore him!!

But I think my favorite part of this series is how Meyer writes her chapters. It’s such an amazing display of skill to write in perspective. Even if both Adrian and Nova are in the same chapter, you can tell who is the “main character” at the moment. Without the use of first person writing, Meyer is able to flesh out the story from different perspectives. WHICH IS EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE!!! Because of how the theme is impacting both of them. The idea of heroes and villains is so different between Nova and Adrian and the writing and drive of their characters supports it that much more. Meyer really impressed me in the feature of the story alone!

And yeah those last 10-ish chapters had me in a chokehold. Ever since the gala it was straight fire🔥🔥
