This story immediately caught my attention from page one - and only partially because I had recently been sucked into an episode of a reality dating show - LOL. Jules isn't running from her life, she's running toward peace, quiet and finding herself again - no men need apply to join her. Wes is focused on growing his bar and spending time with his family - he has no love for tourists in his town. When their first meeting (and second, and third) don't go well, they both plan to stay far away from the other - but the town, their family and friends seem to keep pushing them together until they decide to call a truce… which turns into so much more. I love that Jules doesn't back down from conflict, she stands for what she wants and deserves, and holds true to herself. Wes has his reasons for being stand-off-ish, he's been burned before, but the more time Jules spends in his town and with his friends, he starts thinking that maybe it's time to give her a chance. I love the way that Jules and Wes get to know each other and slowly start breaking down the walls and reasons for staying away from each other. There's humor, banter, emotion and spice, and I am HERE for it. Definitely recommend - and can't wait to see what's happening next in Golden Falls!!
