Murder in the Corn Maze by G. A. McKevett

5.0

A great cozy mystery and a great book.
It’s heart wrenching and heartwarming at the same time, it moved and made me laugh.
It’s not easy to write this review because it’s hard to explain all the emotions this great reading experience made me feel.
The plot is well crafted mixing the sad and the funny moments, there’s a lot of character development and I found it entertaining and engrossing.
It was great to meet again the cast of characters from the previous installment and some new. All are fleshed out, Stella is realistic and lovely.
The mystery was darker and more complex than the usual cozy mystery and it kept me guessing.
It’s a book with strong themes like abuse, grief and healing. I think it’s more women’s fiction than a cozy mystery.
I look forward to reading the next .
Highly recommended.
