We Were Liars
by E. Lockhart
***Actually, I would rate this book between 4-4.5
This book is talked about everywhere and was said to be one of the best YA books of 2014. So I finally picked it up to read. At first, I was a little "ehh" about the book: it seemed like a book about snotty rich kids and I didn't really understand the writing sense, meaning I didn't know what was really happening and what was not. Though the book is written beautifully, all the metaphors do make it a little confusing at times. (I also picked up the book having no idea what it was about)
However, as the book goes on, I found myself very interested in the story and wanting to know what happens.
The ending was the biggest twist ever. I could not believe what had happened. It was just amazing. I don't have words for it.
This book is great. It's short and fast-paced and though at first it may seen slow, it picks up right away and the ending is absolutely phenomenal
