I really getting to the point where I am more invested in this series. I am buddy reading the series with my 10 year old who is reading the books and watching the movies for the first time. I have seen all of the movies (none within the past 5 or so years) but this is my first time reading beyond book 3. Reading this book brought back so many memories of the first time I watched the movie and gave more insight into certain scenes. I do not support JKR and her views but I am someone who can separate the art from the artist in certain instances and still enjoy their work if I don't feel like their problematic actions are present in the book. My son is also enjoying this buddy read and I look forward to doing this again in a few years when my middle son is able to read along with us.
