This was our favorite of the three Julie books (I read them aloud to my 10yo daughter). It does read more like nonfiction than novel at times, but we learned a ton from it. This book focuses almost entirely on the lives of the wolf pack, with brief human interludes. It was a good conclusion to the trilogy.
