This was a fantastic middle grade audiobook, fast paced and engaging from start to finish. I also loved that it’s a stand alone story because so often spy novels for this age go on over several books. As an adult I was able to guess several of the twists, though a few still surprised me, and I think a kid would be blown away by the direction the plot takes. My only complaint is that there was a lot of focus on lying - and emphasis on being a good lier. While that is realistic (and a little easier to excuse in a spy novel) I wish it wasn’t as prominent. On the whole this was really enjoyable, I think my older kids will love it, and I recommend for fans for City Spies and 39 Clues.
