Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel

2.5

For a post-apocalyptic story this was a lot duller than I anticipated. A couple of the scenes stood out to me and kept me semi-interested. But for the most part I just wanted it to end.

We're constantly jumping between timelines, which is something I often find makes a story harder to follow.
The characters were kinda cliché, and lacking in anything new.
I didn't particularly care for the writing, but once in a while I would stumble upon a decent line that had been sprinkled in there, such as this one from chapter 23:
"Hell is the absence of the people you long for."

Overall, I wouldn't reread it, but I wouldn't discourage others from picking it up either
