It’s a shame that the edition I got doesn’t have all of the short stories so I’ll have to find an edition that does. For the five I got, I thought The Repairer of Reputations was oddly paced and something of a missed opportunity, The Mask was good in principle but ruined by a mopey, whiny protagonist, The Demoiselle d’Ys was fine but just not what I was hoping for from this book, and The Prophets’ Paradise was not memorable for me whatsoever. The Yellow Sign was by far the best and I had really hoped the whole book would be like that - pure cosmic horror. A damn shame, I almost feel clickbaited.
