Ahhhhhh I ADORED THIS BOOK!!! All of the characters were amazing, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for a kiss, waiting for a reveal, and waiting for a rescue. This was an A+ audiobook with narrators who brought the characters to life and kept the story moving. No production issues! Katherine Center is such a constantly amazing author. Everyone who likes romance needs to read her books and even if you don’t, I guarantee her plot lines will pull you in!! I also want to take a moment to say THANK YOU for not putting lyrics in the book! I’m sorry but they’re always so awkward to listen to on audio and the point came across without them.

Tropes: quasi-workplace romance, black cat x golden retriever energy, only one bed but it’s the dog’s fault

FMC: Katie, documentary filmmaker, closed off, past hurts, tries to hide from the world, might be losing her job so she really needs this assignment to go well even though she doesn’t know how to swim and the MMC is expecting his estranged brother

MMC: Hutch, coast guard rescue swimmer, reluctantly internet famous for saving Jennifer Aniston’s dog, extremely helpful and selfless, cares deeply about his family, wants to reconnect with his brother and not this random woman who looks *way* too good in a swimsuit and gets him to open up about things he never discusses

DMC (dog main character): George Bailey, Great Dane, terrified of thunder, loves jumping onto Katie from a full run, likes to hold toads in his mouth
