The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

1.0

DNF @ CHAPTER 2.

I couldn't stand this fucking book. I get why people like this, but the writing is obnoxious from someone who's read many wattpad books and even written a few. Also, Ali Hazelwood mentions their height difference a little too much in the beginning. I'm surprised I managed to get this far. I just really, really didn't vibe with this book.

Now, did I skip to chapter sixteen to read the smut? Yes. Was it good? Not really. One thing I would like to mention though is it was decent smut, the only thing which threw me off was the fact Olive randomly came out as Demisexual (?, not trying to label her, but the sexual attraction she feels is described as someone who labels themselves as demisexual). I have no problem with coming out scenes, but we were in an awkward state. We were just getting somewhere.

I think I would've liked this a bit more not knowing that it was Reylo (Kylo Ren & Rey) fanfiction, especially since I haven't seen Star Wars, and fanfiction in general is something I don't wanna read. I read this because of BookTok and BookTok only, and I must say that this was a let down. Even with all the negativity, I thought I may like it. But I ended up having a The Spanish Love Deception situation with this one. A definite one star.

But if you like this book, I have no problem with that. You like what you like. Just wasn't for me.
