The Calculating Stars by Mary Robinette Kowal

5.0

I loved this book.
It had such a historical feel to the science and women rights that it was sometimes easy to forget that this was an alternate history. I am glad that I read Hidden Figures first because I felt like I had a great background of the actual history that took place even though the main character for this novel is a white Jewish woman. There was still the feeling of struggling to be heard and accepted as an important part of the space race.
