This book was gut wrenching but also so heart warming. It reminded me of an episode of South Park (lol) that I saw as a young teen that stuck with me about sadness only hurts because there have been times you were so happy, and that is a blessing.
It sucks so much to go through earth shattering trauma. The kind how you’ll never know to not be numb. It was painful to read, but beautiful to see the love and hope being pumped into a person who had previously dedicated themselves to numbness to avoid pain.
