Elemental: How the Periodic Table Can Now Explain (Nearly) Everything by Tim James

5.0

undoubtedly, one of the best science books out there. if you are interested in how the periodic table is constructed or overall in chemistry, this book is totally for you. everything is clearly explained so if you have basic chemistry knowledge, you'll be fine.

besides, the author has a great sense of humor-every chapter contains dark jokes and sarcastic comments. i remember cackling several times while reading :D.
it's also full of fun facts like BED - Banana Equivalent Dose. simply, it's the amount of radioactivity you can get from eating a banana. but there is no need to be alarmed until you eat fourteen bananas a day lol.

so, it's entertaining and informative simultaneously. definitely a must-read if you enjoy reading popular science.
