Zarifa: A Woman's Battle in a Man's World by Hannah Lucinda Smith, Zarifa Ghafari

4.0

I really enjoyed this one. I hadn't heard much about Zarifa before, so I enjoyed the opportunity to do a deep dive into her life and thoughts on Afghanistan.

The book starts with her childhood and then tracks her rise to being a mayor and then ultimately the downfall of Afghanistan to the Taliban.

It's a quick read.
