While I enjoyed this book, I didn't like it as much as [b:Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist|3240483|Always Looking Up The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist|Michael J. Fox|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1442943948l/3240483._SY75_.jpg|3275171] or [b:A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future...: Twists and Turns and Lessons Learned|7558692|A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future... I think Fox's near catastrophic brush with his mortality, as well as all of his experiences since writing his last book have shaped a change in his optimistic nature. I admire him for his reaction to people who pity him or try to treat him like he's in imminent danger of breaking. His progression with Parkinson's has limited his abilities since his previous 2010 book and while I don't think Fox's essential nature has changed in any way, this book was missing the buoyancy and lightness of his previous books.

I wouldn't steer anyone away from reading this book but I'd recommend his previous books over this one.
