There a lot of things i liked about this, and a lot of things i didn't. Thaniel and Mori both loveable sad lonely boys and their romance is sweet but TOO UNDERSTATED! ONLY ONE KISSU! ONLY MOST VAGUELY IMPLIED FRICKLE!
The anatagonist is obnoxiously out-dated and cliched! Classic "jealous spiteful woman wants to split up the gays" !! She does this even though she's in love with someone else! Literally risks the lives of hundreds of people just to gaslight a guy she hardly respects into think his boyfriend is an evil gay. Said woman also ~isn't like other girls~ and ~too smart~ to be a suffragette! It's gross and annoying.
I really wanted to like this book, and I enjoyed it most of the way through but this gross caricature of a woman really ruined the book for me.
