I was drawn to this book because it's allegedly a fictionalized account of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's relationship. I read "The Royal We" (a fictionalized account of Prince William and Princess Kate's courtship and marriage) last year and loved it, so I thought I'd give this a whirl.

There's something kind of "blah" about this book. I don't think the author developed the characters enough. Toward the end I was having a hard time keeping track of certain clues the Katie character had that her relationship with the Tom character was a sham. I think there were some subplots (like the Katie character's relationship with her long-lost sister) that weren't necessary. However, even though toward the end I started getting the feeling that this wasn't the best book, it was still hard to put down.

If you think a book like this would be up your alley, skip this and read "The Royal We" instead.
