Revolutions by Michael Löwy

informative inspiring medium-paced

4.5

I thought this book was almost perfect. It gives a short description of each revolution that it covers (maybe 8-16 pages each) and then follows up with pictures taken during that time. The main goal of the book is to discuss the pictures so much of the description explains them with a very quick overview of the revolution. For example, the October Revolution barely even mentions the Mensheviks.

The main critique is the placement of some of the pictures. Some of the pictures would take up two whole pages. Usually this was fine except there were a few where the main individual of the picture was in the crease.
