Persepolis Rising by James S.A. Corey

adventurous dark emotional tense medium-paced

Holy time jump?? I did not know 3 DECADES were going to pass between the last book and this one. It was a little hard for me to wrap my head around that fact, so the beginning of this was a bit slow for me, but it seriously picks up with the second half! I love how this series is split into 3 arcs because it really shows the cycle of humanity and people trying to rule everything no matter how big our universe gets. One thing I think is absolutely genius about these books is how we often get our villain’s POV. It really puts you inside their brain and shows you how they really believe they’re on the right side of things, and I think it’s just an important part of this entire thing. I am so scared for the next 2 books, and I’m not sure how I feel about being in the final act. I will be so sad to see this end!
