okay WHAT! how do these keep getting better!

I did not expect to love this third edition as much as I did. the second novel wrapped up fairly well, and I absolutely adored all of the character arcs in that one. so count me FLOORED when all of that was ten fold in this book!!!

when the tournament was first announced and it led the reader in a very specific direction of how the book was going to go, I admit I was wary 😅

I mean, how many goblet of fire and red queen tropes are we going to get in fantasy novels??

but THEN my dearest darling stolas appeared, captured my heart, and flew away with it 🥹 (I told you I always fall for the dark broody morally grey ones)

I was a little questionable about haven’s so-called “love triangle” in this one because boy did her emotions flip flop faster than my stomach on a roller coaster 🥴 I could tell it was going for rhys x tamlin x feyre vibes but totally missed the mark tbh

HOWEVER - the last 30% of the book completely made up for all of the grievances I had about the uber slow first 2/3rds 😅

when I tell you, I was jumping around my house at 1am in excitement at the entire sequence of the ending … it was WILD 🤭

all I can say is I am very impressed at how audrey keeps the story going throughout series and her writing keeps developing more and more. I am seriously looking forward to the last installment!
