HOLY COW! This book was absolutely amazing. I could not put it down. As I have done with every other book I’ve read in this series, I stayed up way too late finishing it. Everything about it was so perfect and I got my wish! I won’t say what that wish is because I suppose it would be considered a kind of spoiler. Anyway, I hope my wish sticks because this book already has so much heartbreak, I wouldn’t be able to take much more. I would be just straight-up devastated.

Can we talk about the amount of character growth with Juliette? Because wow wow wow! That girl has grown leaps and bounds from the first book. She went from being shy and weak to a badass warrior ready to destroy anything and anyone in her path. We love a badass heroine. I say this all the time, but one of my favorite things about a book is character growth. It brings my heart so much joy when I see a character I’ve bonded with grow and become the person they were always meant to be.

The next paragraph as the potential to be a bit of a spoiler to read it at your own risk.

Also, we need to talk about Adam because what the actual heck happened? He went from a nice albeit a tiny bit obsessed boy to an abusive piece of work. I was furious at how Adam treated Juliette. It was so disrespectful. Just the amount of venom from his makes me want to puke. I understand that he is under a huge amount of stress and pressure. But for him to just be a jerk like that? All because Juliette didn’t ask how high when he said jump.

Overall, I don’t think this series can get much better. I genuinely think this will be the book of the month for January and maybe even the year. I keep track of those things now. I can believe it took me so long to read this series but I’m glad I did. I’m glad I’m reading it now, being a little older. I can appreciate the book better. I am obsessed with this series and want to declare that I am a Warner stan and nothing can change my mind about that.
