Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid
4.0

Hannah is hitting a quarter life crisis and is not sure where she belongs or what she should be doing. After being a nomad for a little while and breaking off a relationship with a married man. Hannah returns to her place of birth and plans to set roots in Los Angeles, at least for a little while.

On her first night in California, Hannah is faced with a decision that will affect the course of her life.

Taylor Jenkins Reid creates an imaginative story of a multiverse in Maybe in Another Life, where a single decision caused her life to veer down two different paths, each with their own outcomes and choices. Some decisions created the same path, while others caused Hannah to go down a different path. From a writing perspective, the two paths were well integrated and mostly discernible from each other while reading making it relatively easy to figure out which universe you were in. If you enjoy the MCU and it multiverse theories, this is an interesting read without all the sci-fi!
