I am not often caught off guard by a twist, but this one shocked me to my core. I think I read the last 50 pages with my mouth open it was that shocking to me. I took points off because I think Rebecca Yarros writing style just isn't my favorite, and its rather slow paced at the beginning. I was not really invested in the modern day romance, but think Scarlett and Jameson's story was worth reading, especially for how I felt at the end with the twist.
