Talk Me Down by Victoria Dahl

Ben's obvious crush makes this book adorable and sweet. But the best part about this story is how the author tackles the shame and shunning that comes from most communities (modern ones mostly) towards a person who enjoys reading or writes romance for women. I mean, God forbid women enjoy a genre that has them as a lead, doesn't stereotype them, and allows them to express themselves sexually. It's okay if a male author writes a really shitty sex scene, you applaud his 'honesty' then, but for some reason it absolutely irks everyone if women write realistic sex scenes and the love lives of women. So, thank you for addressing that. The attitudes for romance novels are changing, but there is still work to be done. Also, the whole creepy ex thing is something a lot of women deal with. The men involved can very charismatic most of the time and the victim is left to deal with the consequences of that. That is a big part of this story, and what the protagonist goes through is harrowing because it is something that has happened to you at one point, or someone you know.
