The Revenge Playbook by Rachael Allen

1.0

in life, I've been told that you must always have choice. and it was me who told myself this twenty minutes into this book. you can either have alternating perspectives or alternating time periods in a book, but as an amateur "y/a" author, god please never both. I'd honestly give this a 1.5. I think it would have sat with me a lot better if I was 12 and I mean that to say that this is what the intended audience has to be. the whole concept of the book was appealing at first but got very boring very fast. the main characters did have good individual storylines though, however some of the content was definitely appalling. I've never met a single male who cared much about anything so making a list of other people's girlfriends–unrealistic-from what I've been through anyways. I just think it sort of sends the wrong message to young girls that this is what life is like and the only/best way to rise above is revenge.
