A Bound Heart
by Laura Frantz
slow-paced
I didn’t enjoy this one quite as much as I’d hoped to. It felt a little slow to me at times and I began to get a little bored. I didn’t feel very connected to the characters which is probably why I didn’t enjoy it as much. I also felt like the interactions between Magnus and Lark were kind of brief, especially towards the end.
I also wasn’t a big fan of the love triangles in this one.
That being said, there were parts of this story I did enjoy. I enjoyed watching Lark’s bond with Larkin. I also enjoyed the cozy feel of the story as well as the setting.
I’ve enjoyed the other books I’ve read by Laura Frantz, especially The Colonel’s Lady! I know many of my friends loved this one. I think this one just wasn’t for me or maybe I wasn’t in the right mood for it.
She is a wonderful writer and I’m looking forward wait to reading more of her books!
