This is going to sound harsh but: I truly don't understand how this book received Book of the Year awards. It felt like a lot of tropes shoved into 300 pages and completely rushed.
Enemies to Lovers? ✅
Forced Proximity? ✅
Slow Burn? ✅
One Bed? ✅
Fake Dating? ✅
Pregnancy? ✅
Sunshine & Gloom? ✅
Miscommunication? ✅
Yes, this book somehow has them all but with the success of each varying wildly. The most charming part of the book, where the main characters write letters back and forth to one another, was wrapped up by page 100 and barely revisited. That was the part that hooked me, and then honestly I only kept reading to 1) get to the part where they finally 🌶️ and 2) to get it off my TBR. The book was entertaining, but it wasn't what it was hyped up to be (for me, at least).
