Okay, at first I was really questioning everything in this book then by the end, things started to make sense. Han Kang uses her unique narrative power to tell a story of desire, abuse, oppression, primal urges and the facade we thrust upon ourselves for social validation. Han gives us a glimpse what it would be like to cross that boundary and shed all ties that made a human "social animal." The writing is concise, rich and impactful. It says just what needs to be said without going on a tangent. Yet, the symbolism is convoluted. I'd recommend this book to everyone who wants to know what makes us humans what we are and what doesn't.
