First off, Rebecca's writing is pure poetry. It hooked me from the start and didn't let go until I read the last word 🥹

Divine Rivals was one of my favorite reads of last year and I had wholeheartedly missed Iris and Roman. I'm usually not a fan of memory loss, but I loved what Rebecca did here with their magical connection through the typewriters. I can read an entire book on just their letters to each other alone. Their romance was so enchantingly beautiful and captivating even when surrounded by grief and death.

The war and its progress is at the forefront in Ruthless Vows. We also find out more about Dacre and Enva's long, entangled history. Though I loved the action and the high stakes, Iris and Roman's love story isn't the main focus here, which I was really looking forward to. I loved the introduction of Tobias and wished we saw more of his interactions with Attie.

This was such a bittersweet ending. I'm sad we're leaving Iris and Roman and their letters for now, but I'm looking forward to whatever Rebecca Ross writes next because I know it'll be just as magical as this one was!
