Know My Name by Chanel Miller

emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective sad medium-paced

5.0

Chanel Miller is a beautiful human.

This is the only non-fiction book that has ever truly interested me. Miller perfectly describes issues with our society and our justice system in a way that is bound to hit the hearts of anyone who reads this.

She also extends a loving hand to other victims of sexual assault, who are tired of hearing the same phrases of pity from people who don’t understand their pain. Her quotes about healing and moving on will always stay close to my heart as I go through life.

I honestly want to thank Chanel Miller for sharing her story. What you see on the news is just another story about sexual assault. But this book tells you who she is, what she felt, what she went through, and that is much more important that what she drank, what the judge said, what a reporter thinks. I’m sure this story will open the eyes of many.
