The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam and Euphranor and Salaman and Absal by Edward FitzGerald, Omar Khayyám

Not sure this is exactly the version i read, but close enough
Pleasant, easy poetry read. Two editions of (mostly) the same set of poems. Liberally adapted by the translator. Khayyam was a Persian, Sufi poet born 1048. Edward Fitzgerald a rich Brit born in 1809. Rubaiyat is the plural of rubai - a 2-line stanza of Persian poetry, subdivided into 4 pieces of which the first, second, and 4th must rhyme
