Unjustly Destroyed by Marie Skye

5.0

Unjustly Destroyed is the second book by Marie Skye and it follows on from where Incapable finishes. I could not wait to get my hands on this book after Incapable finished on such a cliff-hanger. I was not disappointed, I loved it just as much as the first book. Incapable must be read before this book – Unjustly Destroyed is not a standalone novel.

Emmalin is still hiding from her past, her secrets and who she really is. But he’s finally caught up with her. Back to destroy her once and for all with his smug smiling face. He’s going to ensure that she’s in pain and she going to fight like hell to stop him. She’s at her limit; she’ll do anything to protect Grayson, to protect herself.
Grayson knows that she’s hiding something, someone from him. He won’t stop until he finds out what it is. Something is pulling her away, keeping her from him. She’s completely different – changed. He absolutely refuses to sit back and let something come between them again.

I have to admit this story got a little darker than I expected but I still really enjoyed it. There were plenty of unexpected twists and turns with one major cliff-hanger again at the end. I can’t believe I need to wait again – I think this author is trying to make me crazy!! Again I encountered lots of different emotions whilst reading this book. We definitely see a shift in the relationship between Emmalin and Grayson as they try and deal with their own issues as well as support each other. The book delves into BDSM slightly more than the first book, so be warned! It is however excellently written.
I literally cannot wait for book 3 and hopefully the conclusion to Emmalin and Grayson’s story.

I give 5 stars to Unjustly Destroyed by Marie Skye.

Due to its content this book is intended for 18+ readers only.
