Well, as someone who has childhood father abandonment trauma, this book tore me to pieces. But it was an easy, enjoyable read. The obsession with her makeup was weird (why was this mentioned so much??); and she straight up assaulted him by cutting his hair in his sleep (can you imagine the backlash if he had cut HER hair while she slept?). But if you can try to ignore those two things, the rest of the story was good.
