This was such a hard read but i’m glad I was able to get through it. I learned a lot while reading this and at times I found myself victim blaming Vanessa and I had to reevaluate my thinking and realize what she has gone through hence why I feel like i learned a lot from this novel.
Often time with stories like these you almost expect a happy ending or you want it so bad but that’s rarely ever the case. A lot of SA victims don’t get a happy ending and it takes years of reflecting and self care to get back to who they were before the incidents occurred.
After finishing this book my chest feels so heavy and I just wish all pedophiles could be locked away forever.
