DNFd. I really, really wanted to like this book. Normally, I enjoy isekai and portal fiction, and the concept here was genuinely interesting. However, the writing style felt too light-novel-esque for my taste, and the main character came across as too immature. I also found myself disconnecting completely once it became clear that not only the protagonist, but everyone in the world, was "leveling up" — an original idea, perhaps, but one that didn’t sit right with me personally. I probably won’t pick this up again, as it’s the very long first book of a very long series, and that’s simply too much of a time investment for something that didn’t grab me early on.
