Hannaford Prep: The Complete Series by J. Bree

4.0

Just Drop Out: 4.5 Stars This series has been on my radar for a while and decided to dive in on a whim. This was about 300 pages of pure anxiety. But my gosh is Eclipse strong. (No I will not call her by her nickname, not quite yet) Everyone in this book is reprehensible and since this is turning into a Mariana Zapata-eques slow burn situation I'm hoping there's some redemption on the cards. But purely for Eclipse and her journey through the viper den that is Hannaford Prep, I'm sucked in. Take me on a journey, Ms. Bree. Gimmie what you got.

Make Your Move 4.75 stars So I started this series roughly about 24 hours or so ago and I've already finished book 2 and this was almost as slow moving romance wise as book 1. But the tension, the twists and all the drama hooked me for real. Eclipse might be my favourite RH heroine EVER. She has a spine of titanium and watching Blaze, Harley and Ash slowly lower their shields and give in to their attraction..it's kind of a beautiful thing to see. There's still plenty of characters that are completely deplorable and I'm pretty sure Joey might take the place of my hated character in any literature I've ever read.

Play The Game 4.5 Stars... Um excuse me...what?! This series is seriously giving me an anxiety attack, not to mention the fact I often forget that these characters are 17/18 years old! AH! I saw that ending coming but only because I accidently read the start of the blurb for book 4 and WOW. Just wow.

To The End 3.75 Stars Don't get me wrong I inhaled this book and the plot was so fast paced I could barely look away. But..and it's a pretty big but, Eclipse was clearly picking favourites here. And a lot of the story threads that kept me hooked for 4 books were either so quickly dealt with or not dealt with at all. Like...where the hell was Diarmuid? What's happening with the Devil? I enjoyed this series as a whole but this book pulled down what potentially could have been an overall 5* rating to a four. Because they did Blaise dirty as heck.
