This was sweet! Something I love about this series is that all of the books happen concurrently, so we get little nods other couples’ stories throughout each one.

We met Rush and Faye in Book 1 and I hoped there would be a story there. I was glad to find out that there was. Accidental pregnancy can be a hit or miss trope, but I think it was done fairly well here.

Faye was super guarded and independent, and it was clear from the jump why that was the case. It took her a while to warm up to Rush and trust his caring nature, and while that was frustrating at times, it made sense for her character and didn’t make me dislike her at all.

Rush was a sweetheart and the type of stability Faye needed. I wish we got to see a little more of him outside of what he was to her, but overall, I was fine with this mostly being about her journey.

I listened to the audiobook of this and the narrators performed it really well. They did a great job at conveying the emotions of the characters and bringing the story to life.
