Children of God by Mary Doria Russell
3.0
I enjoyed this book and was pulled into the plot, eager to see what happened next and where the story was going.
However, I felt it lacked the power of the first book, and I found the ultimate resolution lacking. There was so much build-up and so little payoff, in the end.
Still, Russell writes beautiful prose, and her characters are well drawn.
