This was E Winn's debut novel and I can honestly say it was a 5 star read for me and one that I did not think I would have enjoyed as much as I had. I went into this seeing a beautiful cover and a blurb that caught my eye, but "Hearts of Fortune" had more than what meets the eye.
The storyline was amazing, I loved the characters, the spice was hot and just the flow of the book was meticulously thought out to not be too fast and not be too slow. I eat up the forbidden stepbrother troupe EVERY SINGLE TIME and it did not disappoint in this book at all. The spice I would say was a 4/5. Not straight smut, and not a little appetizer and it was written very well! The only thing I hated with a passion was the cliffhanger. I know why it was there, and I know book 2 will be WELL worth the wait, but the way I wanted to throw my kindle when that cliffhanger dropped was real. Regardless, amazing debut novel and an author that I will continue to be following and reading ALL the books from!
